With the market well and truely focused on the whole touchscreen craze lately, it looks like Nokia are going to release a QWERTY with a touchscreen screen nowhere to be seen, called the 5730. This will be part of the ever growing XpressMusic family. This is looks like an average, run of the mill normal phone with real buttons under the screen at first glance, however, push up the side to reveal a QWERTY keypad.
What you can’t see from the photos are the applications this baby has underneath. The usual suspects are all there, Bluetooth, USB and camera (3.2MP to be exact), but there is also 3G, GPS functionality and Symbian S60 OS. Downloading music from Nokia’s DRM via EDGE.
Supposed to be released in April of this year, it is said to be priced from €220.

A new leaked image of a full touchscreen Nokia handset has been leaked to give us an idea of what is to come in 2009. Although the handsets are only in the conception stage, the future looks good with this great big screen and huge interface.
This handset wil be hot on the heels of other touchscreen handsets released or to be released by Nokia, the N97 and 5800 to give you two examples. Nokia have already come out and said that they will be releasing more N-Series touchscreen handsets soon.
Until this is actually released onto the market, it is unknown if it will be an “iPhone killer” but from the leaked images it sure does look good.
