The LG KS360, which is commonly know as the LG Etna has been on the market for a few months now and is proving to be a big success for O2. When it was first launched, stock of this affordable touchscreen phone sold out within days, leaving many O2 and Carphone Warehouses stores without any to sell to the mases.

While stock levels have improved and sales for O2 continue to be good for O2, Meteor has gotten in on the act. O2 even found that large numbers of their handsets were getting unlocked to be used on other networks; such as Meteor. This will obviously be a good sign for Meteor.

LG are planning on introducing the LG Chocolate BL40 phone in the coming weeks, and lets hope its better than the previous LG Chocolate which was available in 2 colours, but turned out to be a bit a disaster when it came to software and the constant bugs on it.

A few weeks ago, we brought you the news of the LG GD910 Watch/Phone. Since then, it has been announced that it will be available on the Orange Network in Europe.

They will be the first carrier in Europe to sell this nice piece of kit, and it should be interesting to see how well this sells. It will certainly appeal to some people who want the bling or the gadget on their wrist, but it may not appeal to high-end users.

• LG GD910 Watch/Phone

The LG KM900 made a very brief appearance last month but it now looks like one of LG’s latest creations; (another touchscreen) has made its way onto the print media in Holland. The magazine in question is The Phone House, also known as The Carphone Warehouse is Ireland.

It remains to be seen whether this will be like so many other LG Touchscreen handset. It does bare a close resemblence to the Samsung Omnia! Is this their plan? The Samsung Omnia has been popular and is a good handset in its’ own right!

LG released this handset on the Irish market a few months ago on the Three network. They seem to have recently gone mad launching nothing but touchscreen handsets for a while, with his being one in an ever growing range of handsets sporting such technology.

Undoubtedly one of its’ major features has to be its camera. The 8MP capabilities are simply awesome, offering up some great photos, being clear while ago to capture those special moments in crystal clear quality. The 3″ screen only adds to the quality of the images.

Well done and a pat on the back must go to LG for reaching such a milestone with the announcement that over 5 million Viewty’s have been sold. This is especially impressive with over 4.65 million being sold across Europe and Asia with 350,000 being sold at home.

LG are seemingly getting the hang of releasing affordable touchscreen handsets. Only recently they released the LG KP500 Cookie to Ireland. This is exclusive to The Carphone Warehouse and is very affordable while also giving people some good features. Although lacking some like 3G and Wi-Fi, it is still a very competitive handset.

If your a technology lover like me your definately going to want to have a look at the LG GD910. The stuff of Star Trek, the watch really has become a method of communiction. A few years ago, Sony Ericsson has something similar but it didn’t have the capabilites this bad boy does!

With 3G technology, camera on the front and 1.4inch screen, it does look great. There will also be a MP3 player and a text-to-speech for reading out your text messages! Rumoured to launched this year, it looks really good.

The LG KP500 Cookie is to be released very soon onto the Irish market, we’re talking days here people! This is going to be one of the most affordable touchscreen handsets on the market and should be here just in time for Santa to give to all the good children.

Life is indeed good for LG lovers! Word on the grape vine is that they are getting ready to launch an amazing 125 handsets in 2009! This may sound like 115 too many but there may be method to their madness. LG do make handsets which, to be honest are not the most expensive handsets ever made, so as we face into a hard year, some cheap handsets may be the name of the game.

We will have to wait and see if this actually comes true.
