BitBuzz, the main Wi-Fi service provider in Ireland has announced there has been a 64% increase in the numbers of Wi-Fi business in the last 12 months. BitBuzz now had over 180 Hotspots around the country in 2008, which is up from 150 in 2007.

The majority of users of their service has been iPhone users. With the launch of the 3G, Wi-Fi enabled iPhone, people are now able to surf the net in more numerous.

Some of Bitbuzz’s clients include many hotels chains, such as Travelodge, the Fitzwilliam Hotel Group. Altogether, they provide Wi-Fi services to over 140,000 people last year. This number is bound to increase with more and more Wi-Fi enabled handsets being launched.
