Toshiba have thrown their contender into the ring for the ever increasing “Touchscreen contest” (if you can call it that!). Their handset is going to be called TG01 and rumour has it has been on the Atkins Diet for far too long before its launch. This is going to be uber slim (9.9mm), while also having a good sized touchscreen.

The good sized touchscreen mentioned above will be 4.1-inch with WVGA resolution (800 x 480 pixels) . It will have a 1GHz mobile CPU. Windows Mobile 6.1 will be the OS for this beauty. This will power the many attractive features such as built in GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and HSPDA.

For memory, there is a small amount of on-board memory, 512MB to be exact. However, there will be a microSDHC card slot which will support up to 32GB. 32GB!!! That’s a fair amount of space!!

It will be available in black na d white and hopefully hit European shelves during the summer. Not exact date nor price but it looks great!
